Some Interesting New Physics

I've recently come across some articles about interesting new physical theories. If you're interested in astrophysics, black holes, or unified field theories, these will be right up your alley.

• New theory claims to unite Einstein's gravity with quantum mechanics. "A radical theory that consistently unifies gravity and quantum mechanics while preserving Einstein's classical concept of spacetime has been announced in two papers published simultaneously by UCL (University College London) physicists."
• “Singularities don’t exist,” claims black hole pioneer Roy Kerr. "The brilliant mind who discovered the spacetime solution for rotating black holes claims singularities don't physically exist. Is he right?"

In university, I studied honours math and physics for two years before switching to English Literature, but the physics discussed in these articles is way beyond my dated and limited understanding. But I still find it fascinating and exciting and maybe you will too.
