• New Climate Models Show That Clouds Could Screw the Paris Agreement. Scientists’ latest climate models show that the world is going to warm even more than we previously thought.
• The (Australian) government has been forced to talk about climate change, so it’s taking a subtle – and sinister – approach. "With its old ideology being treated with universal scorn, a new line is being embraced – and it could signal the death of the planet."
• Like Adding ‘Five to Six Hiroshima Bombs of Heat Each Second,’ Study Shows Oceans Warming at Record Rate. " A new study published Monday shows that the Earth’s oceans reached the highest temperatures and warmed the fastest since records began, highlighting the urgent need for global action to address the climate crisis before it’s too late."
• Climate Crisis And Extreme Weather Tops List of Biggest Risks Facing Humanity. "The World Economic Forum (WEF) has released its annual report on the biggest risks humanity faces given the state of the world. Extreme weather is the top risk by likelihood, while failure to address the climate crisis is the top risk in the impact category."

Politics 

• Extreme Heat Is Another Legacy of Segregation. "Racism has consequences, expecially in an era of climate change."
• Something else is out of control in Australia: climate disaster denialism. Myths about the bushfires grow online before finding their way into the rightwing press and the mouths of politicians

Technology

• Fewer in U.S. Continue to See Vaccines as Important. "A recent Gallup survey finds 84% of Americans saying it is extremely or very important that parents vaccinate their children. That matches Gallup's prior reading in 2015 but is down from 94% in 2001."
• Artificial Intelligence Makes Bad Medicine Even Worse. "A new study out from Google seems to show the promise of AI-assisted health care. Actually, it shows the threat."
