I
posted earlier in the month that the wonderful Category 6 blog on the Weather Underground site was being shut down. Fortunately, there is a replacement run by Dr. Jeff Masters. The
Eye on the Storm blog is now up and running on the Yale Climate Connections site. Unfortunately, there's no comment section – a feature that made Category 6 so interesting and timely – but that should be coming later in the summer.
Today's article is a detailed examination of
the Saharan dust layer that is currently affecting the Caribbean and southern United States.
If you are serious about reliable weather and climate news from a reputable source, Eye on the Storm should be at the top of your bookmarks list.
