- Weird Tales on the Internet Archive. Weird Tales was a fantasy and horror pulp magazine published from 1923-1924, notable for first publishing H. P. Lovecraft. It's worth checking out just for the artwork.
- Sick Lies and Videotape. "The GOP and its right-wing media allies have launched a full assault upon President Biden using selectively edited video and fake stories." I am not surprised that the GOP would stoop this low but more concerning is how the right-wing media spreads this garbage.
- How should we address stories of death after vaccination? New study analyzes how vaccine content shared on Facebook influences people’s decision to vaccinate.
- We Now Know Exactly When Humans And Neanderthals Hooked Up. "The oldest love story in history is written into our genes." This is an interesting bit of research.
- After coming back from the dead, the world’s largest aircraft just flew a real payload. "Falling just short of hypersonic velocity." I just watched a documentary about Stratolaunch; I had no idea how complex the engineering was.
- A teacher invented a bunch of fake slang words to trick his Gen Z students. "Now some of those words have caught on."
- The Top 14 Android Secret Security Codes You Need to Know. If you have an Android phone, this article is worth bookmarking.
- Internet Archive forced to remove 500,000 books after publishers’ court win. "Internet Archive fans beg publishers to stop emptying the open library." This pisses me off. I sincerely hope the Internet Archive wins their appeal.
- H5N1 Update. "The virus marches on while we inch towards answers."
