Things I found interesting but didn't want to do a full blog post about.
- OAA report card: Arctic is having more and more warming difficulties. Continuing rapid changes in the Arctic climate, with later fall freeze-ups and less sea-ice thickness and extent, set stage for challenging times to come.
- 9 Browser Extensions to Help You Search the Web Better. "Search results can be cluttered with ads and other less-useful information. These add-ons strip out the junk to help you find exactly what you're looking for."
- 'ISS Experience' puts viewers aboard the space station in 3D 360° VR. If I could afford a VR setup, I would definitely get this.
- NASA weighing options for future planetary radar capabilities after Arecibo. I was hoping they would build a replacement.
- The Virus Didn’t Defeat America, Freedom Did. Hard truth about the pandemic and the US response to it.
- Physicists Nail Down the ‘Magic Number’ That Shapes the Universe. A team in Paris has made the most precise measurement yet of the fine-structure constant, killing hopes for a new force of nature.
- What Will the World Look Like in 30 Years? Sci-fi Author Kim Stanley Robinson Takes Us There. "Robinson on his new book The Ministry for the Future, a plausible, chaotic, and hopeful novel about how the climate crisis could play out."
