• Scientists Fear We Could Lose The Amazon Rainforest In The Next 50 Years. "Research published today suggests that large ecosystems such as the Amazon rainforest will collapse and disappear far quicker than previously thought once a global tipping point is reached."
• Greenland, Antarctica Melting Six Times Faster Than in the 1990s. "Observations from 11 satellite missions monitoring the Greenland and Antarctic ice sheets have revealed that the regions are losing ice six times faster than they were in the 1990s."
• A Second Dust Bowl Could Threaten Global Food Security. "A new study paints a scary reality: one where climate change pushes another Dust Bowl-like event to take over the Great Plains, throwing global food security into uncertainty."

Politics 

• A Trump Insider Embeds Climate Denial in Scientific Research. "An official at the Interior Department embarked on a campaign that has inserted misleading language about climate change — including debunked claims that increased carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is beneficial — into the agency’s scientific reports, according to documents reviewed by The New York Times."

Technology

• Even a Relatively Small Nuclear War Would Cause Global Famine. "According to a new study out in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences on Monday, even a relatively small nuclear conflict between India and Pakistan would surely bring about global famine."
